What Could Cause Elevated Vitamin D And Calcium Levels?

What causes and elevated vitamin D level, as well as elevated calcium? I am not on supplements. I am 53 years old, 5-6", and 175 #. I am currently suffering from lower back pain, and leg pain related to a herniated disc at L5-S1. I have high blood pressure controlled by Atenolol 50 mg Q day, and elevated triglycerides controlled with Simcor and Lovesa.

Hi, dear.
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You may have hyperparathyroidism. It will lead to high calcium level as well as your pain. You should go for parathyroid hormone level. If it is increased then take treatment accordingly. Continue with your antihypertensive and lipid lowering drugs according to your doctor's advice.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer.
Thanks for using health care magic.
Wish you a very good health.
