What Could Cause Dented, Tasteless, Burnt Tongue And Swollen Lips?

I am 40 years old, it is now three months since experiencing dented and testless tongue. It feels burnt while taking hot liquids and acidic foods and also swollen lips. A doctor told me it will end up itself. But am worried for how long will this diference dwel in me. I have testd thyroid and fibromyalgia but non of them I have. Please dr. help me to understand my health.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms it seems that there is allergic reaction to any food or medicine leading to STOMATITIS causing dented,burnt and tasteless tongue as well as swollen lips are due to Allergic Angioedema..

It will not resolve on its own and you should consult an Allergic Medicine Specialist and get a blood test done to rule out the exact cause of the symptoms so that the exposure to that particular thing can be avoided so that symptoms will resolve..
You will also be advised to take anti-allergic medications and cold water rinses for relief from the symptoms.
