What Could Cause An Enlarged Vein Under The Shaft Of The Penis?

I have what feels like a rubber band lump on the top of the shaft, under the scar tissue ring, right before the head of my penis. It's almost like a ridge or a vein that's enlarged under the top part of the ring on my penis. Any idea of what this might be? I don't masturbate and my wife has been the only partner I have ever had.

Thanks for query .It really is most unlikely that there could be anything seriously wrong with you – unless you have some sort of disorder which causes clotting in veins. (Incidentally, clots in veins are usually painful).

If the swelling persists longer than two weeks, then get your GP to take a look at your penis. But statistically, it is not very probable that he'll find anything significantly amiss.

Urologist Dr. Dr. P. T. Patil's  Response
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have enlarged vein on shaft of the penis.

This is one of the tributary of dorsal vein of penis which is more dilated and enlarged more than normal and has no significance at all.

It is not related to sexual activity and nothing to be worried about.
