What Could Be The Small Bump On My Lower Right Butt Cheek?

A few years ago a small bump on my lower right butt cheek formed, it never hurt or anything so I figured it was just a mole or something of that sort. Today I was sitting down and it hurt so I looked and it had turned into a large pimple looking thing however when I squeezed it only a little bit of clear fluid came out. Then when I squeezed it again a hard pinkish odd thing came out, it was relatively small but noticeable enough to know it is not normal. I just don t know what to think of this or what to do.

Hi,

I can understand your concern for the small bump on lower right butt cheek. You have not mentioned your age, occupation and any relevant history which could have guided us to the nearest possibility. After reading your query I can make two possibilities:

1. Sentinel pile related to hemorrhoids: It is a over proliferation of skin due to hemorrhoids and is exactly at the verge of anal skin.

2. Simple skin tags: It is a over proliferation of skin simply due to aging process.

IF it is Sentinel pile related to hemorrhoids then you can meet a surgeon preferably and can get it excised. Excision is a simple procedure which takes just few minute.

If these are Simple skin tags then can be meet a dermatologist and get it removed by simple process of radio-frequency.

Do not try to squeeze or pinch or pop the area as it can secondarily infected and further complications.

Take care.
