What Could Be The Side Effects Of Vyvanse?

I had a 7 y.o boy on Vyvanse 20mg , tenex 1mg QID and Depakote sprinkles 125mg in AM and 250mg at bedtime. Tenex and Depakote had been at current dose for several months. Vyvanse was started 3 moths ag.o. Child had a seizure like episode in school, but when seen in ER was diagnosed as muscle spasm in the neck ( per mom s report, i did not see discharge papers) vyvanse was discontinued, but 2 days later she continued to appear spacey...oriented but appeared some what disconnected, rubbing his eyes on off and admitted he had blurry vision...could this be Vyvanse side effect?

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It could possibly be due to vyvanse. EEG will confirm the diagnosis whether it is a seizure or not. Please discuss this with your neurologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shubham Mehta
