What Could Be The Reason For Excessive Bleeding After Reaching Menopause ?

My wife whose age is 40 years. we have 3 childrens and she had menopause last year but since 8th of may she had excessive bleeding and for last 5 days she had continious bleeding no medecine is working. please help me,

She should get an ultrasound to look for pathology like fibroid,endometrial hyperplasia.If hormones arent working then she needs a D&C and the sample should be sent for biopsy.A pap smear should also be done.
