What Could Be The Effect On Pregnancy By Consuming Toilet Cleaner?

hi,hope u will be fine.one of my relative wife has taken toilet cleaner in a suisidal attemp.she was saved.her kidney.liver reports are ok and abdomen and chest x-rays are also fine.she is 2 month pregnent.pregnancy ultra sound is ok.this happen few days ago.is this incident will effect pregnancy?and what may be the defects in baby?is 100 ok birth outcome with no defect is possible?plz tell

Hi,
I understand your concern.
When the lady has escaped bad effects of toilet cleanser( as her reports are normal ) & also USG report is normal at present. Still it is better to keep a close watch , specially scan at 5 months denotes abnormality in foetus.The toxicity primarily attacks mother & because of that foetus may be affected.
If the lady is psychologically/ socially settled, she can continue pregnancy with due care & observation.
In case of fetal abnormality/unsettled person.. it's better to terminate pregnancy.
