What Causes Tightness In The Throat With Shortness Of Breath?
I think something serious is wrong with me frequently and any symptom I get makes me worry a little. The reason i feel i worry is because I have been a smoker for about 8 years and my throat will get tight pretty often. Sometimes I ll have shortness of breath as well. Everyday something bothers me, people tell me that I m just a hypochondriac but I m concerned. I don t like the tightness in my throat. What do you think the possibilities may be?
Hi. Thanks for your query. I can understand the plight you must be going through. You had been smoker for years and now get tight feeling in the throat and shortness of breath. This simply cab be due to pharyngitis and respiratory tract infection. Or there can be an added bronchitis or so. I would advise you in such a situation the following: Get an opinion of an ENT surgeon get endoscopy done. This helps in getting to see if there are any organic lesions like mass or so, helps to rule lout cancer or so which is bothering you at the moment. Get the clinical evaluation. And investigation to support the diagnosis and support the treatment
