What Causes The Sharp Pain Below The Ribcage During Pregnancy?

I am 21 weeks pregnant. I recently started getting a sharp pain below my rib cage on my right side. I am a hairstylist and typically stand for long hours. I don t have the pain when I wake up, it usually starts when I m at work. The right side of my back will feel tight, and then it seems to radiate around to the front. It is only on the right side. It feels like a sharp pain, sometimes a burning sensation, almost like a pinched nerve. It will hurt until I go to bed. When I wake up, it is gone. It is very uncomfortable!! Any thoughts?

Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion mostly the pain might be due to muscular pain. Some or the other nonspecific pains appear in pregnancy in a few woman. They subside on their own mostly after delivery.Do not worry. It might be muscular origin due to strain at work.Check your posture do not bend.Take paracetamol for pain.Apply hot fomentation and any local herbal medicine.
