What Causes Swollen Painful Ear Whenever I Wear Cheap Ear Rings?
Hi, I had my ears pierced when I was a baby. I am now 47. Every once in a while if I wear cheap earings my piercings scab. I have not worn earings since Nov. and my hole has been scabbing on and off since then. Sometimes I get a pea size lump on the lower part behind my ear. I have one now and it hurts. Why do I keep getting these?

It is likely you are allergic to the material/chemicals in the cheap ear rings which causes the scabbing and i would recommend that you avoid them. for the present situation you can apply mupirocin ointment 2-3 times a day , it will help you.
