What Causes Swollen Glands In Neck?

I have had swollen glands in my neck for a month or so. They are worse on the left side and my left ear aches sometimes. The glands go down in size but not back to normal. I have seen a doctor, I don't have an ear infection and I just finished a course of antibiotics that didn't help. It seems like lymph nodes in my neck are swollen. I do have allergies and sinus issues but wasn't sure if that could be the cause of it.

hello

thank you for trusting HCM

dear any infection in nose throat or ear may cause lymphadenopathy around cervical region.if it is reactive it may subside with full course of antibiotic therapy but before starting the treatment you need to be evaluated.

other possibilities like tuberculosis, infectious mononucleosis, malignancy etc... you may need to examined and required lymph node biopsy. depending upon the cause your doctor will treat you accordingly. I think I answered to your question if you have any questions feel free to ask.

take care
