What Causes Swelling In Legs With Rashes That Are Not Itchy?

my akles and legs have been swelling for several weeks and a rash formed on both legs in the same area on both legs .the rash does not itch it is just red with no bumps or blisters I have been very active for several months. I am on my feet anywhere from 12 to 14 hours a day. when i do sit down I prop my feet up above my heart level. this helps the swelling to go down. i am 64 years old and have completely changed my diet to more organic foods. i feel, much better and have lost weight. after losing fat from my upper thighs, i have what feels like a lump near my crotch area and at times i have a sharp pain in the area where my leg connects to my hip in the crotch area. the pain is so sharp that it effects my walking for a while. I don t know if all this is connected of different health issues a friend said that i have what looks like Chronic Venous Insufficiency. Oh I forgot to mention that i have no pain for the swelling of the rash on my legs. the only pain i get is a shart one in the crotch area.

Hi,

Nonitchy and painless rash on legs and feet may be purpuric rash, most probably Schambergs disease.. progressive pigmented purpuric disease. If it is there, then there is no need to worry...as it is harmless and benign condition. Keep the legs elevated and avoid long time standing. The pain in groin area may be related to lump you have at groin and scrotal area., may be scrotal swelling..hydrocele or inguinal hernia. Consult the general surgeon for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.

Hope this helps.
