What Causes Sweating And Chest Pain When Drinking Alcohol?

when I drink alcohol i start sweating really bad and experience pains in my chest, i feel like i am going to throw up during this, i usually drink once a month and this happens when i only drink half a glass...am i allergic or is this something else? it usually goes away 10-15 mins later.

Hi there,

There are two possible explanations here - one is that you are allergic which is usually due to the fact that you don't have the enzyme to breakdown alcohol.
In this case, there isn't much you can do besides avoid alcohol.

The other is that you're simply dehydrated, but that's more unlikely if it goes away.

It's probably best to stay away from alcohol. Which is overall better for your health anyway.
