What Causes Stomach Ache And Back Pain During Heavy Periods?

Dear Sir/Madom My mom s (AGE: 45 years) periods are now very much unbalanced. blood comes out continuously. she needs to change cloths after very short time period approx 5-10 minutes. there is also pain in stomach and back. Yesterday we took her to a nearby hospital. They provided some medicines (Aciloc, SANDOZ 5mg, XAMIC MF TORRENT) and told to come back after 10 days. this is 4th continuous day of unbalanced blood coming out and no relief. other than this there is an older problem; whole body is swelled. we took her to several hospitals/doctors. they said it s Thyroid. After treatment there was temporary relief but now pain has increased specially in knees . Please do the needful thanks Pooja

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi,

This can be early features of menopause but an ultrasound examination of whole abdomen will be required, with analgesics.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
