What Causes Sore Throat, Difficulty Swallowing And Bleeding Gums?

I've been having a sore throat for about 5 days now. It started with a headache and a lot of fatigue and pain in my body. Then I felt that my tonsils became swollen and I couldn't talk or swallow because it was very painful. My gums are also very swollen, they hurt a lot and they bleed easily when I brush my teeth. Today I just noticed I have a blister in my lower lip... what is wrong with me?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.

As per your complain sore throat and difficulty in swallowing seems to be due to throat infection that is caused by either bacteria or virus and leading to Acute Pharyngitis and Tonsillitis..
The swollen gums can be due to infection in gums causing GINGIVITIS and a blister over gums can be either due to gum abscess secondary to infection or can be a Canker Sore..
You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and he can do a thorough clinical evaluation and treatment can be planned accordingly..
For throat infection you can be advised to take antibiotics like Augmentin or Levofloxacin, Painkillers like Aleve or Advil, do warm saline gargles and chew Vitamin C pellet..
Avoid spicy and hard foods..
Drink plenty of water..
For gum infection Scaling can be done to Remove Infectious deposits as well as do gum massage with antimicrobial Oral paste..
Brush your teeth using a soft toothbrush and garlic will antimicrobial mouthwash..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
