Hi, 3 and 1/2 weeks of symptoms of sore ears, sore throat severe body ache and loose stools in spite of treatment with Sudafed and Loradine given by your Doctor by saying this is viral sinus infection is a serious matter; this is so as the viral infections usually settles within a week or so. Consult your doctor again and get a referral for an ENT surgeon, insist for detailed clinical examination, investigations of blood, throat swab, sugars and HbA1c to rule out diabetes, renal and liver functions, CT scan of sinuses and any other tests as would be advise by your doctor. All these will give a proper diagnosis and have a specific treatment as per the cause found. Antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and oral steroids may be needed and to continue decongestants. Nasal drops. Steam inhalations. Avoid contact with people have are suspected to have viral infection. Avoid sudden changes of temperature zones. Take bed rest. Take care. Hope I have answered your question.
