What Causes Small Boil Under The Nipple Of The Left Breast?

Im 27 years old female. I m having a small boil like thing under my nipple on d left breast. Some 6 months back I had the same problem and consulted doctor, they prescribed antibiotic. It was gone then. To let u know, I delivered my baby on may 5 2013. I used to pump milk as she was preterm baby. She was not fed directly even once. I stopped expressing milk after July 2013. There was milk secretion. Consulted a doctor and took tablets to stop milk secretion. It started again after a month. even now there milk secretion and it s just few drops. What could it be?

Hi ,
How are you doing ?
Area around nipple( dark colored skin around nipple) is called Aerola. This area has got lot of glands, all of which open onto the aerolar skin. These become prominent during breast feeding, called montegomery tubercles. Their job is to keep the nipple & surrounding area moist so that baby can suck milk well & also prevents drying & cracking of nipple. Their opening is small & if the surface skin has some trauma like baby biting or trauma by the syringing for milk or if the milk is allowed to stand their too long or any sort of infection of the skin- these can block the openings & these glands swell with white or grey color usually painless.
As you still have milk secretion, it would be better if you meet a doctor & take the medication for stopping milk again.
Check Thyroid profile & Serum Prolactin, correct if high.
Use tight brassier & avoid breast from sagging, this will prevent fresh milk secretion.
Don't keep checking if any milk is coming. Keep the aerola always clean, avoid rubbing hard on the aerola & injuring it. Touch stimulates milk production
Within a month or two your problem should be solved
Hope I have solved your query
All the best
