What Causes Shaking Of Hands While Drinking And Writing?

Hi Doctor, My father is 62 years old,a retired govt. employee. From the last few years, he is having neuro problems. At early state, his hands started shaking usually while drinking or while writing..We had shown to many doctors, all concluded its related to neuro problems. He had gone through continuous medicines prescribed by doctors. We had approached to NIMHANS & son many neurology specilists. This month after MRI doctors at HOSMAT hospital told that this problem is related to Brain & given some medicines, He is not having any other disease / disorders. Now the condition is that, he is not able to stand properly even for a while. Doctor, please suggest me, what best i can do for my father....Thanks pawan Contact no: 0000 e-mail: YYYY@YYYY Bangalore

hi
from the explanation givn by you it seems that he is suffering from parkinson`s disease,or rarely nervous disorders due to the peripheral nervous weakness.
if he has been started on the treatment by a neuro physician, then that itself is enough.
as most of the neurological conditions have a prolonged course for recovery, or deteriorate gradually with poor prognosis.
please continue with the medications with regular follow up with the neurologist
all the best
take care
