What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain After Alcohol Consumption?

I am a healthy 31 year old woman who drinks 1-2 glasses of wine weekly. Sometimes I want to try a cocktail with hard alcohol, but I get severe abdominal pain within minutes of drinking it. I can drink wine, liquore, and malt beverages without any problem, but hard alcohol is painful after the first few swallows. Should I be concerned? What is this?

Hello,

Alcohol may cause alcohol induced gastritis, esophagitis, acid reflux or alcoholic hepatitis with fatty liver disease. Avoid taking alcohol, use tablet Pantoprazole before breakfast for one week.

Avoid spicy food and smoking. Use syrup Sucral two teaspoons twice a day for five days. If symptoms do not improve, please consult your gastroenterologist, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
