What Causes Rise In Blood Sugar Level?

hi my mother is taking fragyl 400 after breakfast and after dinner. her blood sugar is in the range of 365 to 380 in units. she is offcourse a diebetic. Before her blood sugar was around 170 to 180 post lunch. Is this because of fragyl400 that is increasing her sugar? pls help.

Welcome to HCM!
you have a very valid question here. The logic goes like this... Any infection can increase you blood sugar. So i guess your mom is taking flagyl 400mg for some infection. So its the infection which is increasing her sugar and not the tablet.
Secondly you would need to keep her sugars under control for the infection to resolve.
So my opinion is control her sugars and treat her infection. Her sugars will return back to normal. You can always consult a diabetologist to guide you...
