What Causes Randomly Occurring Lumps On Legs?

I recently found two small lumps on either side of my right ankle. They do not hurt and are kind of hard. Then i started getting small lumps on my left leg on and near my shin and on my right leg. They are very small and do not hurt. I am 47 yrs old female, and beginning menopause. I have been taking melatonon at night, one tablet, because I can't stay asleep. I think the lumps started around the smae time I started the melatonin. Could there be a connection. What could these lumps be?

HI,Welcome with your query to HCM.
Based on the facts of your query, after review I would suggest you to check with your Dermatologist and to rule out the lumps on the legs,as your need for Melatonin for sleep may be overshadoing the Melanomatous Cancer, which you correlate,as the time of occurrence is after the intake of Melatonin.
I would suggest you with your treating doctor, whether he gave the Tab Melatonin for sleep disorder ,which is uncommon at your age,as he would be knowing the real reason of starting the Melatonin.
FNAC Biopsy from Surgeon ,if need be fix the cause of your lumps and the need for Melatonin for sleep problems in your case.
No doubt Melatonin is used as Sleep inducing tablet but at a later age after 55 yrs.
Hope this reply resolves your worry with your queries.

Will appreciate writing your feedback review comments,to help the needy patients like you at HCM.

Good Day!!
