Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Human Herpes Virus infection can cause Pityriasis rosea. But there are many other causes. Pityriasis rosea usually do not itch. Please do consult your Dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis as Pityriasis versicolor usually do not itch.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
