What Causes Pins And Needles With Dizziness After Blood Was Drawn?

Hi I got blood taken around 3 weeks ago. A few days after I experienced swelling, bruising and a constant pulsing sensation in the arm area where I had blood taken. This then developed in to to pins and needles and numbness from elbo down to hand. It caused naseua and dizzyness and I fainted. My doc said I had low bp. My symptoms eased and I was feeling back to normal. However, a few days ago, my arm has started pulsing again, I have slight swelling and hardening in my arm. My arm feels sore from shoulder down (like pulled muscle pain) and occassional pins and needles with dizzyness. Advice appreciated. Thanks

nothing to worry

Not All Arm Pain after a Blood Test is Serious
It’s normal to experience a little discomfort and soreness for a day after a blood test, but arm pain that lasts longer is less common.

When it occurs, the best course of action is to see a doctor and make sure there’s no sign of nerve damage, hematoma, or infection at the site of the needle stick. Most needle sticks hurt, but, fortunately, they don’t cause lasting damage.
