What Causes Pink Discharge After Taking Pevaryl Cream?

Hi, after using Pevaryl combination pessary and cream to treat a yeast infection,I have noticed pink discharge and also some of a waxy substance which I am guessing is the remains of the pessary. Is this discharge a normal side effect and if so, when should it stop?I used the final pessary last night and still have discharge this evening.

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi,

There is nothing much to worry about this condition. As the remains of a pessary can lead to these discharge, however if there is discharge in absence of pessary then investigation will be required.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sujoy S. Bhattacharjee, OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine
