What Causes Persistent Headache?

I am 32 and have been diagnosed with ITP. At last check, my platelet count was 75000. This was a month ago. Since then I have been have increasingly persistant and very painful headaches. I feel very tired all the time. Could these symptoms be related? And at what point do I seek Emergency care?

Hello,

Possible causes are like:
1. Intracranial bleeds.
2. Steroid excessive intake (used in ITPas treatment) may cause head ache.
3. Tension headache
4. Anemia

So you may use paracetamol for pain relief and don't use any other pain killer it may lead decrease platelet count. If no improvement please consult with your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
