What Causes Persistent Fever In A Toddler?

My 2 year old has been runnin fever of around 101.1 to 100.0 for 8 days now. I have been to the doctors three times to find three different diagnoses, cold, croup and now phamonia and told with phamonia she can return to daycare which i think is dangerous. She is wheezing and coughing real bad.She is barely eating and fatique and only drinking enough. Recently doctor did a routine check and found her immunities to be very low where she won t be able to fight off anything.Do you think she should be in the hospital let alone daycare.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

If she still runs high fever, is lethargic / dull, not taking orally well or if there is breathing difficulty, it is better to keep away from day care. If fever and cough is not coming down in 3 days of treatment, this might need hospital admission for injectable antibiotics. Your doctor will guide in this.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
