What Causes Persistent UTI S Having Prostate And Kidneys Normal?

I have had persistaht U.T.I. s for the last 4 years.. 4 to 6 per year. Psa tests and prostate checks are all good. I am 63 years old and have had no intmacy since 2002, thus ruling out STD s. Kidneys are good , no blood in the urine. No hepatitis C. I had a hernia operation 2 years ago and the frequency dropped to 2 to 3 per year . I put mysely on a yeast free diet and took concentrated cranberry pills 5 times a day and got the rate down to 1 per year for the last 2 years. Recently I had another one 4 months after the last one . I have shoveled 11 feet of snow this year but don t seem to have herniated . What do you suggest ? Craig Hudgens YYYY@YYYY

Hello,

Antibiotics will be the treatment of choice, you can for a urine culture and sensitivity and start antibiotics according to the culture results.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
