What Causes Painful Intercourse In Females?
Dear Doctor
I am 36 years old woman with a 3year old girl baby.Me and my husband had a love-marriage.We had sex several times before marriage.And at all those times it was immensely pleasurable.But after marriage,when had our intercourse - I felt pain in vagina,it felt as if something sharp is cutting into my vaginal entrance.It was very painful and made really uncomfortable for me to have sex with my husband. Since then, when ever I have sex, I feel excruciating pain my vagina and it is really traumatic for my husband as he does not feel satisfied and feels bad that I am feeling pain this much.5 Years have passed since marriage and we have had sex just few times only - once in three months or so. This is affecting our relationship nowadays as my husband often loses his temper and feels that I am not doing anything to solve this problem.
I tried to find the reason for my problem by researching Google Web.I feel that maybe Vaginismus might be the reason as most of the symptoms I experienced mach with its description. I am quite sure I don't have any vaginal infections. I am a pure vegetarian -no milk,no meat.I am quite health conscious ,so I hardly ever eat any snack/junk foods. I just eat three times a day - food topped with lots of vegggies,nuts ,fruits.
How I can solve this problem Kindly help .

I have gone through your query.If you have pain while penis entering vagina then it can be due to vaginismus or due to any infectious process there or trauma.But if you have pain while deep penetration it can be due to endometriosis or pelvic inflammatory disease(PID).A per vaginal examination by a gynecologist is inevitable to rule out that.If endometriosis PID is suspected then you might need ultrasound examination.Hope this may help you.
