55 yr old female, started with typical upper resp symptons been on 5 diff antibiotics along with decadron shots, rocephrine shots since 31st of Dec. blood work shows mycoplasma pnemonia, verified by chest xray. prescribed biaxin 500mg 2x day for 10 days exhibiting severe symptoms: very painful ears and throat due to lymph s being swollen, sporadic low grade fever, congestion from sinuses, cough, green drainage from sinuses , severe fatigued. Now throat has become swollen and turned bright red with white patches. Lots of pain, again in the neck area down to collar bone and under ears, swallowing and eating difficult, where do we go from here as far as diagnosis and treatment. i ve had doxycycline, azithromycin z pak, medrol dose pak, 2 decadron shots, rocephin shot, Levaquin and now biaxin all since the 31st of Dec. thanks Pamela
