What Causes Pain While Swallowing, Salty Taste In The Mouth And Pool Of Liquid On The Throat With Cysts On The Thyroid?

Yes, for a year now I have been experiencing pain swallowing and a salty taste in mouth and a pool of liquid in my throat which I am constantly gagging and the teeth on the upper right side of my mouth I can feel them. Its not a toothache but it feel like a liquid salty substance is also coming out from there. I now wear a mouth guard to get comfort and relief. I was diagnosed with a large cyst on my thyroid 2 years ago and a smaller one too they are benign. I also was told I had a cyst 8mm in my larnyx. I have hypothyroidism and am a type 2 diabetic. I also suffer from fibromyalgia among the other problems it brings. No one can figure out what is going on with my symptoms. Could it be the cysts on the thyroid or larnyx causing this problem.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read and understood your history and concerns. It is for over a year that you are having pan while swallowing, salty taste in mouth and pool of liquid in throat. You also have a a large cyst on thyroid, which probably is not related to such problems that you have.
You also have a cyst on the larynx of about 8 mm. This can be cancerous and cause all the symptoms that you have.
I would suggest you the following in such a situation.
Get an MRI of the throat.
Get an Endoscopy and get the cyst operated so that the biopsy will prove what it is and will be a treatment too.
I find this answer helpful
