What Causes Pain, Tenderness In Cervix During Pregnancy With History Of Miscarriage?

Good evening, I am 5 weeks pregnant and currently experiencing pain in my cervix. It feels tender, a dull ache, quite painful. On and off for a few days now. I miscarried last year so am obviously a bit concerned this time around. Any feedback would be really appreciated

Dear member,
Thanks for writing to healthcare magic.
Sometimes normal pregnancy is associated with a dull ache in lower abdomen.
This is due to pelvic congestion.
This may not mean miscarriage.
As you have miscarried earlier you are anxious.
I would recommend progesterone suppositories twice a day to prevent miscarriage.
Also a early scan at 6 weeks will confirm whether you have a healthy pregnancy.
If there is a fetal heart activity then chance of miscarriage is definitely less.
Please write back with reports
Thanks
