What Causes Ocular Migraine After Cochlear Implantation?

I had a cochlear implant in August 2016. About two months later I had my first ocular migraine and I now have a couple per month, can they be related? I also continue to have pain at implant site that is sometimes caused by contact of the device or glasses, but many times from physical activity, e.g. walking up stairs or taking a couple flights of stairs. Becomes very sensitive to touch after the activity, is this common?
