What Causes Ocular Migraine?

My husband is 55. Yesterday he said he had an ocular migraine with about 30 minutes of blackout or confusion after. Then today while driving home he had another. This this time no blackout. He says he sees waves. Is this something I need to push him to get checked out in more depth. This just started.

hello, does he have headache afterwards? heatwaves like or flash wave like persisting for around 10_ 20 minutes followed by headache is more like migraine. your history isnt enough to come to a diagnosis. but sometimes flshes of light and blackouts might indicate serious retinal problems. so better get your eye pressure and everything checked. Thank you.
