Hi, my eyes have been itching since few years.i m 33 yrs and female , hypothyroid patient.i got my eyes checked for environmental allergies. All tests were normal.upper and lower eyelids itch frequently and i do see red bumps at the edge of lower eye lid .i have consulted eye specialist regularly.Used many eyedrops.Nothing gave permanent relief. Is it any eye disease? or should i check with dermatologist?
it is allergy which is still undetected. incase of difficulty you can do one allergy test and try to pinpoint the allergen. It can be pollen in air, cosmetic, food or drink, pet in house, talcum soap, powder etc. try to observe for these things. you have to avoid such things if you can identify. take levocetrizine tablet 5mg daily. cromal eye drop may be applied twice daily.continue it for 15days. you may improve.
It is blepharitis. clean your lid margin with sterile gauge. and apply neosporine eye oint ment. check for dandruff in-eye brow and scalp. If present treat with nizral solution. I hope you will improve now.
