What Causes Heart Murmur With An Elevated Heart Rate?
My 2 month son weight 13 1/2 lbs and is 23 1/2 in. At his 2 month check up, his Dr stated he had an elevated heart rate. The nurse recored 200 bpm and the Dr recorded 170bpm. It was also noted that he has a heart murmur. He was napping just before they checked. Should I be getting more tests done to make sure his heart is okay?

increased heart rate and murmur may b signifying underlying heart disease. get a 2D echocardiogram and EKG done. murmur can b functional or organic. get echocardiography done to rule out heart disease
