What Causes Headaches And Heartburn During Periods?

Hi, I have been having headaches on and off, heartburn a lot more frequent than usual and abdominal cramps as thought I am coming on my period but those pains have been going on for around 2 weeks. I was due my period 2 weeks ago and still haven t come on. I have been having clear watery discharge on and off from day to day. I have took a pregnancy test 4 days ago and it came back negative. I also have softer stools, not quite diarrhea but close. Any idea what it could be?

Hi,
If you have always had regular cycles, are sexually active without contraception, then you should get a proper result with urine pregnancy test performed with a fresh early morning sample. Your symptoms are suggestive of prostaglandin release and thereby indicate an impending period. Please see a specialist for a clinical evaluation, get a blood test for pregnancy and also a trans-vaginal sonogram. If negative, it may be a transient hormone imbalance and will usually correct when a period is induced as a kickback to the ovaries. Hope this helps.
