Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms could be related to an infection (the fever and hot flashes). Regarding the changes in your heart rate, they are indicative of postural tachycardia syndrome. For this reason, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and some tests:
- Complete blood count for anemia
- PCR, ESR for inflammation
- A urine analysis
- Thyroid hormone levels.

A head Up Tilt test would help exclude Postural tachycardia syndrome.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
