What Causes Green Vaginal Discharge And Back Pain During Pregnancy?

I am 28 years old, 2nd pregnancy and a hx of cervical cancer and leep procedure 5 years ago. I am now 33w2d pregnant. Started 3 days ago with back pain, diarrhea, and contractions about 13 mins apart (they last for an hour or so then become sporadic again). Went for a follow up with my OB doc today and found out I am 2cm dilated. They started me on steroid shots but did not give me anything to stop the contractions. SInce being home I have had an increased mucas like clear discharge and now green jelly like pieces on my pad and tissue (could this be my mucus plug). Still having irregular contractions, back pain, vaginal pressure, leg and thigh pain and nausea. How much longer before I go into full blown labor?

Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion uterine contractions, backache with cervical dilatation go in favour of preterm pains. The causes migt be vaginal infection, short cervix etc.The greenish discharge needs to be evaluated for any vaginal infection.I suggest you to consult your doctor as you might need uterine relaxants to decrease or stop preterm pains. It is not said for sure the time during which you can set into labour.Take adequate rest. Treating the causes of preterm labour is also important.
