I am a 23 year old female, 130lbs, and am in what I consider to be good health. I have had frequent nosebleeds since a very young age (probably started at around 13yrs). I have been tested, on numerous occasions, for anemia and iron deficiency, with no sign of either condition. For the last year I have been experiencing an increase in nosebleed frequency, accompanied by lightheadedness and often nausea as well. These symptoms are most frequent in the morning, but also occur at other hours of the day. If I am tired or up late, I was almost always have a nosebleed. They do not last near as long as they did when I was younger (only a few minutes) but the headache and nausea will often persist for a few hours, sometimes a full day. I have mentioned these problems to numerous physicians, with no solution offered other than cauterizing the internal nose tissue. I feel that this solution is not adequate, as it would only address one symptom, rather than the unknown cause. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
