What Causes Frequent Fevers, Ear Infections And Throat Infections In Children?

My three year old has been diagnosed with periodic fever syndrome. However he has no joint pain & is generally happy despite his fever. In the past year he has had 5 ear infections along with numerous viral throat infections. Recently he s been getting fevers every two weeks. Any advice? He s also speech delayed and has trouble sleeping.

Hello,

Five ear infections and several sore throats in short span of time definitely require detailed clinical evaluation and investigations by ENT specialist and pedestrian. You may be advised blood tests, x-ray for nasal sinuses, throat swab culture, etc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Khan Shoeb Mohammad Sher Mohammad
