What Causes Eye Infection?

My 5yr old son had swimming classes 2 wks ago. He got one eye infected 2 days ago and his peditrician gave him some eye drops. Last night he had fever about 102. Today he started complaining he had head pain, no vomitting. He never complained the head pain before. I wonder it is caused by the fever or the eye.

Hello
It seems from the history that your 5 year old son is having eye infection after swimming.
Since he is having fever also it seems like he is having viral infection. The treatment is by use of antibiotics to prevent secondary bacterial infections and symptomatic drugs like antipyretic drugs for relief from fever.

Thank you
