What Causes Double Vision When Diagnosed With Hypokalemia?

I went to the hospital last night. I had only 2 drinks and smoked a little weed, 2 hits. My body started twitching and my arms and hands went numb and I couldn t move them. I felt paralyzed. My neck locked in place, I couldn t move. Difficulty moving my jaw to talk. Double vision. Turns out I had hypokalemia, 2.9. I have been outside in the heat for the past week all day doing work in the backyard. Is it possible I just dehydrated myself to the point of hypokalemia without realizing it, or was it more possible that it was the alcohol and weed that caused the hypokalemia?

Hello,

It is due to hallucinogenic effect of weeds. Dehydration and electrolyte imbalance can cause such problem.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashok Kumar Dash
