Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been have discharge from my anus for the last 3 months. I have a polyps removed during the colonoscopy last month on 28th Oct, but the discharge is still there. It's not a heavy discharge but the slight and it's worrying me. Please advice what whether it is life threating issue.
I am so sorry to hear about persistent anal discharge. Though not a potentially life threatening condition, it is annoying and I will like to see this checked out. Consult your gastroenterologist on what the possible cause of this so that it cab be addressed accordingly. No one wants to live having to deal with continued anal discharge, even in very minute volumes and more so when the exact cause of this is not known.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
