What Causes Diarrhea And Pain In Stomach Around Belly?
Hi doctors, I am a 29 yr old male who recently had sharp stomach pains the last two day. It started yesterday after waking up and having a brief episode of diarrhea and feeling like i want to vomit. Throughout the day the pain would go away and come back periodic. The pain feel sharp around my belly. It seem like every time i take a nap or sleep and wake up the symptoms are really bad being that i feel like i want to vomit, but i get up and walk a few minutes then the feeling goes away, but the recurrent sharp pain around my belly does not. Please help me i dont know what it could be
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Pain around the belly button, nausea and diarrhea are indicative of the following: Intestinal infection by virus or bacteria. Intestinal obstruction. This can be diagnosed by the following: Get an X-ray of abdomen in standing position. Ultrasonography of abdomen. Tests of stool and blood. Clinical examination by your Doctor. Till then take an antispasmodic, plenty of oral fluids if there is no vomiting. You may need an antibiotic , metronidazole and supportive medications as needed.
