What Causes Diarrhea Along With Mucus In Child?

my 2month old baby has diarrhea with mucus in stool for over a week already. stool exam shows 1-3 pus cells and rbc in stool. pedia prescribed metronidazole and hydrite. my baby seem to pass bowel every feeding now. her milk is NAN hypoallergenic. what should i do? my baby is not getting well

H i Dear
Welcome to the HCM,
Stool culture and sensitivity to be done to get the exact bug causing the GIT infection and also to get the exact relevant sensitive drug for that particular bug to eradicate the infection.
Bottle hygiene to be strictly checked.
Possible culprit may be the bottle to introduce the infection.
One should stick to exclusive breast feed only.
Breast feed has got numerous beneficial reasons to be promoted for only breast feed.
Bottle feed should never be introduced. only in few cases it is recommended.

Metronidazole I would like to withdraw.
