What Causes Delayed Periods And Yellow Vaginal Discharge?
Hi I m late on my period . My urine is dark yellow & im getting cream discharge & sometimes clear discharge I m worried I have been to the doctor & he took a pregnancy test which was negative & he said there was no infection could u please tell me what it might be

The cream discharge may be due to yeast infection, this would have to be ruled out if it continues.
Yeast infection would however cause a lot of discharge to be seen and there would usually be itching.
Females may have an intermittent normal discharge if infection is ruled out.
Pregnancy tests look for the HCG hormone. This hormone is released from day 11 to 14 of pregnancy. If the test was done before this time then it is falsely negative and needs to be repeated
Other causes of delayed period are: (1) emotional stress or illness
(2)physical illness
(3)thyroid disease
(4)polycystic ovarian syndrome
(5)inadequate diet or excess activity
(6)high levels of a hormone called prolactin
If the period continues to be delayed then you can consider seeing your doctor for an assessment which should include blood tests and ultrasound
