General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
* Pregnancy test done at home ( urine test ) is reliable after 8 days delay in periods. You have done it earlier & that's why it may be -ve.
The scanty flow of blood can be implantation bleeding. The heart burn can be an early effect of pregnancy hormones.
You should repeat pregnancy test after 8 days.
* all these symptoms with - ve pregnancy test ( done at proper time ) suggests menstrual problem like PCOD, thyroid problem, fibroid uterus, ovarian cyst or simple severe anemia
You need consultation of. a gynecologist/ USg abdomen/ hormonal assessment followed by specific treatment.
Thanks
