Hi,

Welcome to HCM.

High WBC count and CRP definitely is suggestive of infection or inflammation but both these tests are not specific. They indicate infection but not where the infection is. Further investigations have to be done to detect exactly the type of infection your husband is suffering from. I suggest you discuss with his treating doctor, what tests your husband requires based on his signs and symptoms. Chronic inflammatory diseases have to be ruled out.

Thanks.
