What Causes Chest Pain Elevated D-dimer With Shortness Of Breath?

I am a 30 year old female with high B/P. I started having chest pain that went straight through to my back, short of breath, and randomly becoming light headed almost to the point of passing out. I went to the ER and my EKG and blood work came back fine with the exception of my D-dimer. It was slightly elevated to 508. Chest xray and CT-A came back clean as well. ER doctor send me home on Advair. I am still having all those some symptoms. What could it be?

Chest pain with elevated d- dimer with breathless favours pulmonary embolism. Since youe CT angio is normal this can be rule out easily. And you are having high BP so might be due to angina you fell chest pain and breathlessness. In my opinion you should first consult cardiologist and get done 2D ECHO and rule out heart failure.
