What Causes Burning Sensation With Little Swelling In Hands And Feet, Also Skin Flaking Away?
Hi. I have seen doctors before and come up empty handed. My hands and feet one day started burning really bad. They had a redness to them and were a little swollen. The burning hurt so bad I couldn't even pick up a fork or walk. After the burning went away, my hands and feet started peeling. The skin was just flaking away. Now, my fingernails are pulling away from the nail beds and flaking away. Is there anything you could tell me?

Burning sensation with swelling and redness may be due to .
1 Hamper in blood supply to the effected parts . Diagnosis can be confirmed by arteriogram of arteries supplying blood to arms and feet.
2 Peripheral neuropathy may be the next reason so I would like to recommend you visit a Neurologist and get his opinion and MRI.
3 Chill blains may be the next reason particularly in winter parts and excessive cold .
4 Allergy to certain items may be the another reason of such swelling and redness.
5 Reaunad's Disease is another one such cause , so consult a NEUROLOGIST and get his opinion as physical examination as well clinical history of illness is very important in this case.
In my opinion consult a neurologist and get his opinion.
